FAQ

Q: Where are you located?

A: I’m based out of Orange County, California. However, I travel throughout CA and other states! Travel fees outside of Orange County do apply.

Q: What is the best time and place for our session?

A: Usually an hour to an hour and a half before sunset or right after sunrise!

Q: What do I need to do to prepare myself and my horse?

A: It is highly recommended that your horse be clean prior to the session. This may require a bath depending on how dirty your horse can get. We also try to make sure that horses are fed a bit before our session begins so food isn’t a huge distraction. Regarding you, we have a lovely hair and makeup artist for hire should you choose to go that route! Otherwise hair styling and neutral makeup tones work best.

Q: When should I expect to RECEIVE my images?

A: Turn around time for portrait sessions is 3-4 weeks and weddings are 5-6 weeks. If you need a session expedited I offer a $150 for a 48 hour turnaround. You will receive an online gallery via email. Each gallery will contain 2 sections, one for digital download and one for printing. Your digital downloads contain a small watermark for online sharing. All prints can be ordered through your printing gallery with no watermarks added!

Q: How do i pay for my session?

A: Once you schedule your session, you will receive a client portal where you will be able to access your contract and invoice! I require a 50% retainer in place to secure your date and the remaining balance is due at the time of our session together.

Q: How far out should i plan my session?

A: I usually book 3-4 months in advance for portrait work and up to a year in advance for weddings. I do my best to work with any immediate needs so please contact me for more availability.

Q: What do i wear?

A: I completely understand how difficult finding the right outfit can be! When you’re deciding, you should keep in mind your personal features, horse’s color, and the location in which you want to shoot. I offer wardrobe suggestions as well as store locations top shop for all my clients! These are merely a suggestion, but can help guide you in the right direction.

Q: Is it possible to get on my horse for a few images?

A: Absolutely! Riding images are completely up to the client and if they feel their horse is safe enough to do so. We allow these at the rider’s discretion.

Q: why are print releases not included in your sessions?

A: Trust me I get it. You just received a beautiful gallery and want nothing more than to print your images and share something tangible with your loved ones. It’s the BEST way to showcase your photos! However, we want your images printed in the best way they can be. Regular consumer labs cannot guarantee your images being printed correctly and colors often get misrepresented. We have teamed up with some professional labs that can represent your images in their highest form. If you are interested in purchasing a print release I do offer those at an additional cost.
